Arrived Great Harbour, Berry Islands in Bahamas

We arrived and anchored at about 5AM this morning.  Easy trip overnite - it wasn't particularly pleasant but I was able to eat a big bowl of Velveeta Shells and Cheese at suppertime - so that is a gauge of how rough it was.

We motorsailed with one engine on low rpm to keep our speed up across the gulf stream, took the sails down when we did the midnight watch handover because the winds had died down.

Saw a few tankers - the gulf stream is the "speedway" for ocean going boats traveling to the north since it gives a free 3 knots to northbound traffic.  Not so great for those just trying to cross it.

After a little nap, we motored in to Great Harbour Marina to clear customs.  That was a breeze and the helpful dockmaster offered to take us and some other new arrivals about a mile away to the Bahamas Telephone office to get our phone chips.

We anchored just outside the marina - we'll explore the island tomorrow!
