We went back south a bit to see the little historic settlement of New Plymouth.
The town was first settled by a few "Loyalists" - aka American born folks who still pledged allegiance to Great Britain after independence.
We just wandered around town.
Pretty flowers everywhere.
Neat little streets.
A Loyalist Memorial - lots of good history lessons on the brass plaques.
Visited the "Old Gaol" - or jail.
Inside a cell. There were two cells and what appeared to be a tiny "isolation cell". Looks unpleasant!
View across the cemetery.
Because of forecast strong winds, scooted over to the western coast for the evening. Nothing much there but a pretty anchorage.
