Reef Harbour, Cat Island, Bahamas

Pretty sunset at Conception Island....there was a large yacht anchored well off the shoreline.

Time to head northbound to make it to the Abacos by early April.

Approaching the tip of Cat Island, you can just barely see the hills.  We hooked 3 mahi-mahi...but sadly did not get any of them to the boat.  We saw each of them and they were beautiful but they fought madly and jump off the hooks during the struggle.  Exciting.

Made it into the little Reef Harbour where we'll sit for a day or so waiting on some winds before moving around to the western shore of Cat Island.

  2. Hey T, yes, I'm always mesmerized by both colors. The deep blue is in 4000 feet of water and it just shimmers. The camera doesn't do it justice! The turquoise blue is just a mile closer to shore and is about 4 feet of water. One of the reasons I love the Bahamas!
