Rock Sound, Eleuthera, Bahamas

Early in the morning, Duane had looked at the weather and suggested that we depart to Eleuthera using the last day of the southern winds.

The anchorage at Big Majors was amazingly full of boats!

Past the Staniel Cay Yacht Club just at sunrise.

And past the rocks beside Thunderball Grotto.

Out the cut into the ocean, we caught a small Mahi almost immediately.  I thought I'd snap a photo in the water just in case we didn't get it on the boat.

But we did manage to land it.  Small but excellent!

And then later in the day we landed another one!

Getting closer to Eleuthera, there were a couple of local fishermen diving the shallows.

Approaching Rock Sound there is a large sandbar with a concrete warning marker.

Long 10 hour day....Kris and Dean on Charm are in the anchorage and invited us over for their Friday pizza night.  Wonderful pizza and fun to catch up with them!  (but I didn't snap a photo).

Two other Mantas in the anchorage - Charm and Breathe.  We haven't met Jason and Monica on Breathe yet but I'm sure we will in the next few blustery days here.
