Meek's Patch, Eleuthera, Bahamas

We went ashore for a nice long walk....cute female "Capt Hook"....

Check out the moral graffiti at this little boatyard.

The ferry we've seen passing the anchorage most every day tied at the government dock.

Low tide on the ocean side of the island.

Amazingly calm and protected by the shoal even though it's still blowing 15-20 knots.

We just wandered the island.  Enjoying the pretty little modest houses.

We stopped by the Eagles Landing restaurant for lunch.  (Eagles Landing is the name of the airport where we live...)  Nicely done inexpensive sandwiches and yummy french fries.  Fun to have a meal off the boat!

And enjoyed the pretty  bougainvillea in many colors.

And whimsical "yard art".

Several hours later back to the boat.

The wind had shifted direction slightly while we were gone and there was a slight roll in the anchorage.  So we lifted anchor and had a very pleasant fast sail over to Meek's Patch where we'll stay a couple of days before heading westbound!
