Calabash Bay, Long Island, Bahamas

We left in the morning for the 25 mile sail to the northern end of Long Island.

Wonderful sail - mostly wing-on-wing.

Arrived at Calabash - lots of boats with the same plans apparently!

The tidy resort shoreline.

We still wanted to check out Joe's Sound - cruising buddies have been inside and we wanted to see the very narrow entrance.  Wow, it is narrow!

But inside the creek it is quite lovely.

Glad we checked it out in the dinghy.  We would consider anchoring here for wind protection in the future, but the entrance would be exciting!

Back to the boat.

Our last night with the Meshugga crew...we went ashore for some happy hour drinks at the resort.

A nice chat on the patio....back to Meshugga for a wonderful (as always) meal.

We left well after "cruiser midnight" with hugs all around and safe-travel wishes for all.  Hope our paths cross again as they are truly great folks!!

Jenny sent me this photo from Little Ragged - a nice ending to this blog post.  Our boat names spelled using sea-beans she'd collected.  Fair winds Meshugga!
