Big Majors Spot, Exumas, Bahamas

Up early for the 55 mile sail west to Staniel Cay.  Nothing much to report, good sailing winds. "Fished but no catched."  Had two good bites along the way, one was pulled in within 10' of the boat but he jumped up and off the hook.  Arrived to Staniel Cay about 4pm to an outgoing tide.

You can see the 4 knot current running against this marker!  Makes for a slow entrance when going against the tide!

Past Stanel Cay Yacht Club with some bigger boats....lots of big charter yachts this year.  We don't need fuel so we're not stopping here.

Anchored right beside our 3 Manta friends - Cerca Trova, Sangaris and Hahalua.  We'd been invited over to Sangaris for sundowners with all 4 Mantas.  Scott and Jennifer.

Alex from Hahalua

Duane chatting with Royce and Tina.

And Duane & Lisa.  We all enjoyed catching up - we'd not seen Sangaris or Hahalua since the fall in Florida.

We solved all the world's problems with fun snacks and some Killer Painkiller drinks.  (Photo credit to Scott)

Back to the boat by cruiser's midnight (9pm) with our Volvo water muffler finally in hand. (Thanks to Sangaris for the long-distance delivery!!)

We're thinking we will ride the last of the southerly wind over to Rock Sound tomorrow - another 55 mile fishing opportunity!
