Buena Vista Cay, Ragged Islands, Bahamas

So the last 2 of my bananas from the mailboat grocery shipment were black and ugly - just right for banana bread.   I didn't have any nuts to add, but I found a recipe using chopped dates.  Very yummy!!

Another stunning day!  We went ashore in the morning to collect our tin cans and lids that we'd burned in the trash fire pit.  We all try to leave as little trace behind as we can.  The charred cans are put in a garbage bag with any glass - we'll haul it to the dump on Ragged Island next time we're there.

We'd agreed with Meshugga that we would all go snorkeling around noon when the tide was shifting (and hopefully would be slack with no current running).

Immediately after jumping in the water, a nice size turtle swam away from me.

The coral is not stunning but pleasant.

Dee and Jenny waiting for Nicholas to surface.  He'd gotten a nice lobster earlier.

Duane got two nice ones as well.

...so funny that we're always on the same wavelength with food...we had pintos and collards the same as you...and I just made a banana bread to take to Amy's Mom's on Saturday...we're driving down just for the day...
