Buena Vista Cay, Ragged Islands, Bahamas

The morning started out blustery and rainy - we were treated to a full rainbow off the stern.  I tried once again to capture it with the "Panorama" setting on my camera.  I obviously am not doing it correctly as it doesn't line up well.  (Maybe I should get out the user manual!)  Anyway, pretty rainbow disappeared quickly along with all the rainclouds.

Nicholas and Dee buzzed over in their dinghy and picked us up to take a walk ashore.

We took the trail past Edward's house ruins over to the ocean side.

It was incredibly windy - Dee's hat and clothes blowing back as we approach the ocean side.  I had seen 32 knots while on the boat (on the protected side of the island!)

The sea was amazingly churned.

We were getting salt water spray standing on the limestone.

On the trail back, we had spotted a structure down in the valley we wanted to investigate.  There was no trail so we made our own thru the brambles.

We really don't have a clue about the structure.  It appears to be a square rock wall placed oddly in a shallow pond.

Skirting the edge of the pond, we came away with a few scratches on exposed skin!

I once again failed at using the panorama setting to try to capture the large structure.  Still no clue about it's use in days gone by.  But someone went to a huge amount of trouble to stack all the rock!

Back to the boats, just lovely here!

We invited the Meshugga crew over for dinner.

And a fun game of Canasta - Dee won by a landslide and I don't suppose you'd believe me if we all thought she cheated?
