Sandy Point, Great Inagua, Bahamas

We departed the government docks heading to the southern side of the island to take advantage of the only lower wind days.

It's a couple of hours to get to the southern side of the island.  The skies turned overcast.  The Bahamas Defense Force boat was patrolling.

Just where we had caught one two years ago, we hooked a very nice wahoo!   4'7" long.  Almost 34 pounds.  We quickly got it cleaned and vacuum packed.  Half went in our freezer and half went over to Meshugga as our freezer is about at capacity.  Fun but a lot of work!

Once at anchor in the protected Sandy Point channel, we went for a snorkel in search of lobster this time.

(Sorry, my camera lens was salty...)

None were found....but beautiful fish and some nice coral!

Back to the boat rather tired.

We were invited to Meshugga for a BBQ - yummy and fun as always.  Everyone was a bit tired so a fairly early night.
