Not a lot happened today....we got settled along the government dock and cleaned up the boat. It is always a mess after any overnight since I usually don't feel like doing any chores. Everything just is left lying wherever it lands.
We were in VHF contact with Meshugga as they approached. They came into the government basin.
George the dockmaster was there with friendly greetings.
We were invited aboard for a drink and a quick catch-up on both our overnight sails.
No green flash, but a pretty sunset. Dinner was aboard Sojourn - the mahi was very good!! Everyone was a bit "knackered" from doing shifts on the overnight so it was an early night for all.
The wind had died and we had closed the hatches because of the mosquitos. This makes for a very warm boat! But while I washed up the dishes, Duane turned the a/c on for the first time this year down in our berth using the batteries. Just for about 15 minutes, but it was wonderful to have the air cool and dry for a change!
Hey K,
ReplyDelete...nice that you got to use your ac...humidity (and warmth) can make it difficult to sleep...get some rest now...
Love,
T
