Pirates Well, Mayaguana, Bahamas

We sailed (mostly motored) about 20 miles to the other end of Mayaguana.  This is to position for a move tomorrow to Plana Cays and then on to the tip of Acklins the next day.


Uneventful sail - caught 2 barracuda and gave those back to the ocean.

Had some lunch and got into the dinghies for some exploring.


Lovely little island off the tip of the cay.

Interesting snorkeling.  Nothing spectacular but nice healthy coral.

Unfortunately, a lot of current....so we had to be careful to make sure we could get back to the dinghy.

And here is the map showing what we'll be doing for the next 2 days.  We won't have internet for these 2 days, so I'll update on the shortwave email.
