Little Ragged Cut, Ragged Islands, Bahamas

 Another very busy day!!

Started the day making some bagels.  Easy-peasy.

Make the stiff dough and let rise double.

Separate into "bagel size balls".

Shape the dough by poking a hole in it with your finger.

Boil for a couple of minutes in sugar water.

Coat the bagels in egg wash.

Sprinkle with "Everything" seasoning.

Bake and enjoy!!

Next up was some laundry....then after lunch, Mimi invited us to join them on a hike.

Chuck and Michele joining us for a dinghy ride to the Cocoa trail - Dale and Debbie from Mokacat will join us by walking around the island instead.

Very shallow on Cocoa bay!

Walking the trail along the salt pond (sometimes dry but full of water today).

Out on the ocean side Duane found another specimen for the Creepy Doll Trail!

Walking along the flotsam....

Duane spied a shy boa...

Dale and Debbie climbing down the cliff from the other direction.

Chuck out enjoying the ocean view.

Dale and Debbie make it down to the ocean level.

In the flotsam, I spotted this plastic container (maybe a peanut butter jar) that looked like it had "stuff" in it.  I opened it up to find an odd assortment of items.....if you look closely, there are a couple of different pain killer tablets, two Bic lighters, a packet of Amplicillin (antibiotic), a cigar, several cigarettes and possibly one joint and two condoms!  Someone lost their "survival kit"....

Walking back we spotted a fruit tree along the trail. I'm trying to figure out what it is....I find a similar plant called Lucumillo online but it appears to be native to Chile.  I'll find a local Bahamian to tell me what they're called.

And we did find a couple of additional "baby doll parts" that we'll somehow add to the Creepy Baby Doll Trail next time we're there.

A plan was hatched on the trail to do a cookout at the firepit - just hot dogs and a few items thrown together.  I quickly whipped up a batch of hot dog buns.  I was a bit rushed and they didn't turn out fluffy and wonderful.....but they were an acceptable way to eat a hot dog when there are no alternatives!

Getting the fire going.

Michele brought some fabulous mango/avocado/conch salad.  Yum!

Fun ending to a fun day!
