Hog Cay, Ragged Islands, Bahamas

The day started with a little rain shower....pretty rainbow.

Donna made an announcement on the VHF that it was time to go ashore and get the cruiser hut in shape for the party coming up on Saturday.

Lots of folks arrived making for quick work of erecting the sunshades and organizing the hut itself.

We're expecting a rather large crowd this year - probably more than 100 folks will show up.  The hut is the only shade, so the cruisers use flotsam boards/poles/rope to assemble a very nice amount of shade using guy-wires & buried wood pieces as anchors.

The hut itself needed some organizing.

The main long serving table was put in place for the ladies to put out the Valentine's feast on Saturday.

With the large crowd expected this year, the guys put up a second shade awning.

View from the cliff - lots going on - grill repairing, picnic table rebuild in addition to the shade installation.

A group of lovely ladies took a mile long trek to the ocean side to bring back this lovely long pole to use in the center of the 2nd shade.

The long pole gave lots of clearance under the shade screen.

About finished.

Now lots of shade and nicely arranged, just waiting on the local folks to show up!

Back on the boat, we did some chores and had an early night.
