Hog Cay, Ragged Islands, Bahamas

It was time to clean the props and install new prop zincs (sacrificial anodes).

Duane geared up in his SCUBA gear and made short work of it.

It's been over 18 months since the new engines/props were installed.  These are the zincs he removed.  Not too bad for over 18 months.  The corrosion simply says that the zincs are doing their job, keeping the surrounding metal un-harmed.

For reference - here is what a new prop zinc looks like -

Took a few photos from the boat.....just a spectacular day!!

Mid-day we went ashore to take care of a bit of maintenance at the hut before we depart.

....our sign that we had put up last year has faded....I'm assuming that I must have used a water-soluble pen for some of the lettering because some of the words are just gone!

Here's what it looked like when we left it in February of last year.

So I made sure that the ink used was original Sharpie permanent markers.....and recreated the original markings.  And added 2020, of course, leaving plenty of room for future visits!

And Duane screwed it back to it's place in the rafters among the other signs.

Stay tuned....we're actually going to be moving soon!!!
