Hog Cay, Ragged Islands, Bahamas

We're back at Hog Cay and have internet again.  Had a lovely few days to the north.  This post is several days combined.

Sunrise at Double Breasted, heading north the south anchorage at Buena Vista Cay.

  Another lovely sunset!

 We woke to rainy skies....

But, as usual, an hour later it was just lovely!

 The three Mantas!

Did a bit of snorkeling - a nice ray.

Cathy gathering wood on the beach for a bonfire/cookout.

The Panache crew joined us for sundowners.  Fun chatting and catching up.

Grilling the triggerfish Leslie and Ralph caught earlier in the day.

Went on a little hike across the island.  Saw what appears to be an old stone fence.

And the remains of an old house.  (Our boats in the background.)

The trail was getting grown-over so we all chipped in and cleared the underbrush as best we could.

 Pretty cactus along the path.

Beautiful views on the ocean side.

On the way back we stopped and picked some papayas.

Sojourn and What IF

The papayas - I'll find a recipe and cook these green like a vegetable.  Leslie did that and it was really good - sortof like a potato/turnip cross.

Fishing - Duane speared two fish at once (sortof by accident).

And now we're back at Hog Cay for a little while!

Thought I'd throw in this photo that I stole from Ralph's Facebook post in case you didn't see it already.  Duane and I after a particularly good lobster hunt.
