Hog Cay, Ragged Islands, Bahamas

With calming winds, we went out to the Hog Cay cut for some snorkeling.  Big coral heads near the open water.

A lazy ray resting.

A good bit of sea life.

But these heads are often covered in some sort of vegetation - I'm sure it's not good for the reef.....

Louie and Deb on 360 loaned Duane a 8' pole spear to try out.  It does make a huge difference in shooting range.  (Duane's spears are 6' long).  He hunted a couple of hogfish but just missed.  One of these days.....but we did come back with dinner for me!

After we got all our snorkel gear washed and situated, the not-so-friendly visitors were back circling the boat.  I'm pretty sure these are Caribbean reef sharks.

We went to the cruiser hut for sundown - the boats are thinning out with only 3 boats in the anchorage this morning.  (Sojourn, 360 and Invictus).
