With the winds finally fairly low and from the north, we set out in the mid-morning for snorkeling on the reef near Maycock Cay. Perfect conditions.
Lionfish - the first I've seen this year.
Pretty parrotfish.
We spotted several lobsters and chased a couple of hogfish with no success.....nice couple of hours though.
Back to the boat.
We had left the breadmaker on - wonderful to come back to the boat smelling yummy!
I am having to add fresh yeast to my pre-vacuumed packets. Apparently even when separated from the flour via a Saran Wrap sachet, the yeast doesn't like exposure. No big deal.
After getting all the snorkel gear rinsed and hung to dry....a treat of warm bread, butter and honey. Yum!
Sunset was beautiful in both directions - east and west.
Just a tiny green flash...not visible on the photo, of course so you'll just have to take my word!

Water looks stunning. 🤩
ReplyDeleteI’m glad you posted about the yeast. I’m about to make another batch of bread mixes today, and thinking about how yr mixes are working out with the yeast in cream wrap in each vacuum pack.
So far, I’ve kept mine without, keeping the yeast in the freezer. Now with yr confirmation- I’ll continue doing so. Thanks 🙏
