Rock Sound, Eleuthera, Bahamas

Sunny morning, we went ashore with Jerry & Donna for a walk.  Into town and then a short distance to a large pond that is connected via underwater channels to the ocean.

Pretty little park.

We seemed to have captured the attention of 3 nice "potcake" dogs - sortof stray dogs that the community tolerates/feeds.

Nice dogs, they all appear related....

It was a pretty warm day - and we had no water to spare....never fear, the dogs found a mud puddle leftover from recent rains.

We continued walking for a little over a mile....

Our destination - Cathedral Caves and the Boiling Hole!

The dogs followed us like best buddies.

The mouth of the cave, nicely done walks and steps.

Cool views inside the cave.

Back out in the sunshine.  The dogs take a dip to cool off...

The anchorage in the distance.

Back at the boat, I had a bit of sewing to do.  This part of the sailcover had ripped....

So rather than take the bulky 17' long cover off, I opted to hand sew the repair with UV resistant thread, of course.

Back in place - not as good as new but hopefully will hold until next summer when I replace the cover.

We had a lovely meetup at the Wild Orchid restaurant with the crews from Bluejacket, Reach and Inca Cross.

We've decided to tag along with Jerry & Donna for a while - going over to the Exumas next.  The winds/waves weren't terribly favorable for heading to Cat Island so we'll just enjoy the Exumas for a while.  Wish us luck on fishing since we'll be in some deep water for a while!!
