Norman's Cay, Exumas, Bahamas

We left Rock Sound with Bluejacket for the 44 mile sail west to the Exumas.  Had wonderful winds - downwind with just the mainsail up seeing 7-8 knots at times.  We did have to slow down temporarily to reel this nice Mahi in!!

Arrived at Norman's Cay with a flood tide and the wind at our stern so entrance was easy.

We were hoping for protection from the northeast winds behind the island but there is an uncomfortable swell rolling thru the anchorage.  Duane rigged the side-tie bridle that pulls us perpendicular to the swell so it's not so bad.

Donna & Jerry came over to share in the fish bounty - had a great meal and a game of cards before retiring.

We'll head further south and find a little smoother anchorage.
