Green Turtle Cay, Abacos, Bahamas

We did manage a very nice long walk before the strong winds really set in.  We took the dinghy over to the very nice Bluff House/Tranquil Turtle dinghy dock.  Pretty little beach there.

Walking up the steep hill there are some cute little colorful cottages.

At the apex of the "Bluff" - the view back to Sojourn at anchor.

Walking along the road overlooking White Sound.

Wandering along the side streets.  There are some houses with stunning views!

And lots of normal "Bahamas houses".

The marinas at White Sound were busy.

Up and down the hills - the roads were cut thru rock in some places.

We made a long loop back to the Tranquil Turtle just in time for lunch.  I had my first (and probably only) mixed drink of the season - a yummy frozen pina colada.....we had a nice lunch but just as we were finishing we saw the gust front of an approaching rain event....so we quickly paid our tab and scooted back to the boat for a blustery afternoon and evening.

We did hear a couple of boats on the VHF during the evening in a bit of distress with the high winds.  We were not near them to offer assistance.  I believe everyone eventually got settled for the night of 30+ knot winds.
