Last day in Isle of Skye, so the last of these fancy breakfasts. This one was a tasty bagel with smoked haddock and cream cheese.
Leaving the B&B, it was a bit sunny, but the forecast was for clouds and rain.
A couple of hours back to Inverness on a different road.
Duane will be happy to turn in the rental car and leave the driving to others!
Starting to look like the forecast was correct.
Just a few sights out the window.
This is Loch Ness, of the famed "monster". Really just a nice long mountain lake. A few sailboats out enjoying a windy day.
Weaving thru a dozen roundabouts in the middle of busy Inverness was a shock to the senses after the rural Isle of Sky.
We had plenty of time waiting on our train to Glasgow. Really strange bathroom vibe at the station! Very weird lighting, haha. Felt like I was in a disco bar or something!
On the train, rainy scenes out the window. 3 1/2 hours to Glasgow. Comfy in the first class seats of course.
Arrived Glasgow in the early evening. Seemed weird not hiking up a mountain or two!
Walking about a bit. Lovely buildings.
Off & on rain and chilly. We're settled in for several days here.
Beautiful BnB.
ReplyDeleteHey K,
ReplyDeleteLoch Ness is beautiful and I'm surprised it isn't commercialized and touristy too...weird bathroom for sure...
Love,
