Spanish Wells, Eleuthera, Bahamas

Time for a little exercise ashore.

I always love coming into the quaint village.

The fast ferry coming over from Nassau with a deep engine rumble.  Almost seems out of place in this sleepy town.

Walking the neat streets its fun to see all the unique homes.

We were surprised and happy to see the crews from Skyfall and Emanuel IV walking towards us!  They had just come from the Saturday market.  After a brief chat we headed towards the market as well.

Cute little market with local crafts and some produce.  All I got was a container of sweet little grape tomatoes.

We had earlier agreed to meet Jim and Michelle from Skyfall at a cute little restaurant we had never been to.  It's J's Conch Shack.  Very popular at noon on a Saturday!  After a long wait, we had some very nice sandwiches.

More walking and peeping at sweet houses - we wandered the perimeter road all the way back around to the Food Fair (the large grocery store)

We paused at the new bridge - I found this photo from 2020 where a loaded cement truck had collapsed the original bridge.

This is the nice new (hopefully sturdy) bridge.

On over to the park next door.....

Nelly was out for the walk and enjoyed the shallow water.

Michelle snapped this photo of Duane and I taking a bit of a rest....

Beautiful area!

After a stop at the Food Fair, back to the dinghies....long walk!

Back at the boat - these are the pretty little gems I got at the market.

Yummy in the salad with dinner.  I'm now using up all my fresh foods over the next week or so - US Customs doesn't allow anything fresh to be brought back into the U.S.
