Georgetown, Exuma Islands, Bahamas

We went for a little dinghy exploration....we've never really spent much time at Georgetown other than for re-provisioning.

A nice bridge to the private island of Crab Cay.  This bridge leads over to two different ruins....one from the homestead of 1700's loyalist Sir William Walker, and one from a failed resort building attempt by deep-pocket investors in 2009.

Over to explore the new moorings that have been placed in the Red Shanks anchorage area.  This used to be a large wind protected anchorage area.  There are 20+ mooring balls installed now and only one was occupied.

The sad broken remains of a racing trimaran.

We could easily see the ruins of the Sir William Walker homestead.  Unfortunately there were No Trespassing signs all over the shoreline so I refrained from going ashore.

Back to town, we thought we'd stretch our legs a bit.

Pleasant day - we walked the circle around Lake Victoria.

Nothing much has changed - Peace and Plenty looks like they've done a bit of renovation.

After a quick stop at Exuma market for a few fresh veggies, back to the boat. Not sure of our next move but it will be northbound.
