Buenavista Cay, Ragged Islands, Bahamas

I forgot to post this very nice photo that Skyfall took of Sojourn under sail a couple of days ago.

We'd been watching the weather forecasts of course - winds were going to be a bit too strong for us to depart back to the Raggeds.  But when we woke it was clear that the forecast was once again incorrect.  Winds were calmer than expected so we decided to chance it and immediately pulled anchor and were on our way - about 65 nautical miles so that would put us arriving well after dark.

We did a load of laundry on the way - but had to hang the clothes inside the cockpit because it was too rowdy and salty-water-wet to hang the clothes from the lifelines.

You may have seen this video I posted to Facebook - conditions were a bit brisk - but the wind was just perfect and we were sailing along at 8+ knots for hours on end. (The video always makes it look calmer than it felt!)

Just lots of water and little cays along the way.  We didn't see a single other boat all day.  We had to run the generator a bit to keep up with the power drain of the water maker/washing machine/autopilot/Starlink.  Unfortunately, because of our sail angle, the sails were almost completely shading the solar panels even though it was a pretty sunny day!

Sunset underway - no green flash.

Arrived at Low Water Harbor at about 9pm - only 2 boats in the anchorage.  I'd been communicating with Leslie on Now & Zen so we knew where the other boats were anchored.  Plenty of moonlight - we dropped the anchor a little further from shore than normal - we'll move closer tomorrow.
