London

We chose a lovely hotel, not cheap but close to subway stations and in a neat area.

Lots of pretty woodwork. I assume it was someone’s house at some point in history.

After a little nap, we dragged ourselves out to make sure we didn’t succumb to the need to sleep just yet!

Just wandered around to some areas I had scoped out. Enjoying the architecture.

We went to the British Museum…quite frankly, not so enjoyable….  I thought it was going to be British History. Well duh.  But mostly it was artifacts from all sorts of areas.  Africa, N &S America, New Zealsnd, Australia, the list goes on. Plus, it was super dark in the display rooms and really hard for our old eyes to read the comment cards.  Apparently well loved according to the crowds though.

It was a beautiful building though…

More lovely architecture.

Couldn’t resist the phone booth photo!

More walking, this is Russell Square. Well attended by a lot of folks appearing to be enjoying the 45 degree day.

Probably very popular in the middle of summer.  We enjoyed sitting on a bench for a few minutes rest and relaxing.

And then some more interesting architecture on the way back to the room. That’s about it for the day. Hope to get our sleep schedule adjusted.
