Hog Cay, Ragged Islands, Bahamas

Time to get the cruiser hut set up for Maxine's party!  First order of business is always to erect the large netting to provide some shade.

Duane and a crew of other men have done this several years so they're pretty good at it - using just some long pieces of lumber, ropes and pieces of firewood buried as anchors.

The crew burying an anchor for the netting.

And securing a line to an anchor.

The main awning set up in just a half hour or so.

Lots of raking seaweed on the beach just to make it nice to walk on.

Even some of the kiddos volunteered to help!

More awnings setup around the perimeter of the hut to provide as much shade as possible.

The ladies organizing the hut.  Well, some just chatting, haha.

More kid help - cleaning out the firepit.

And lots of coordinated efforts to move tables around.

All ready for the party!

The entire setup of the cruiser hut only took about 2 hours.  Many hands make short work!!

We had plenty of time to take a snorkel in the afternoon.  Just a lovely fairly calm wind day.

We saw a few smaller lobsters who were left to grow bigger!

I believe these are tarpon - they are about 3' long and quite curious.  They swam around us for a few minutes.

After almost 3 hours snorkeling, back to the boat for a quiet evening.
