Little Ragged Cut, Ragge Islands, Bahamas

Happy New Year!!!  🎆🎇🎉🥳🍹🍷

Busy day on New Years Eve.....

First, the winds and the waves were calm.  I mean dead calm.....so we were out for an early snorkel while the current outside was low.

Duane diving deep, saw a few lobsters but speared none.

We enjoyed about 1 1/2 hours of swimming in the mostly calm water....but since we needed a bonfire for the New Year's Eve celebration on the beach we cut the hunting short.  Off to a close-by beach with some driftwood.

Jerry hard at work cutting up some nice hard wood for the fire.

Duane and Chris.

Hauled it all to the dinghies for transport back to the cruiser beach.

A beach find - the remains of a washed-up pallet....this will be terrific for a table top.  (The one that Russ built last year disappeared over the summer.

So Jerry got busy with his saws-all to separate it out into usable parts.

We made several trips back to pick up the pallet and harvest some long bamboo poles.....starting the "construction".  Gilligan's Island Style!!

We drove in/buried 4 poles.

And then trimmed the poles level.

Tah-dah!!!  A very useful and eco-friendly structure!

We finished the table within the hour of our scheduled beach gathering to ring in the new year...

We caught Donna doing some double-fisted drinking 😉

Fun conversations.

Leslie and Ralph brought the bubbly!

Thanks, Gosha, for the photo of Duane and I relaxing.

As it approached sundown (although not visible, haha) we all took Champagne flutes and toasted the New Year!  Since non of us will be awake at mid-night, we called this good for the year.

Much chatting as true darkness fell.

A great start to a New Year!
