Little Ragged Cut, Ragged Island, Bahamas

I forgot to mention that I'd made some of my Girl Scout "Do Si Do" cookies.  Easy to make and everyone loves them.

Just a peanut butter/oatmeal cookie.

Made fairly small because they will be made into sandwiches.

The center is filled with a creamy peanut butter frosting.

Very yummy and foolproof!

The morning started off with much excitement!!  There was a large group of Haitian refugees on the beach just behind our boat.  The boat you see in the foreground is Wabi Sabi.    They seemed to be celebrating - and speaking what I believe was French.  They had left their "transport",  a fairly small sailboat anchored around the bay - thinking that they were near Miami!  A couple of the other cruisers went on their dinghy to offer water and told them that the Bahamas Defense Force had been called.  Upon hearing that they were nowhere near Miami and that they "police" were coming, the crowd dispersed along the beach.  Eventually, the Defense Force did show up and took them all ashore over to Ragged Island, using a nearby fleet of small fishing skiffs.  I'm not really sure what happens to them, but they are desperate to leave Haiti....I believe they get sent back directly.  Unfortunate, but they can't survive on Little Ragged Island where they landed as there is no fresh water.

That excitement all finished, next order of business was that Maxine had shipped us a box of produce from Nassau.  Rick and Susan from C_Language volunteered to go pick up several boxes and delivered to our doorstep!  So nice!

Maxine calls me Katie (or Catie apparently).  I haven't ever corrected her..although I do say "This is Karen" every single time I talk to her on the phone......This is how the box was addressed on a work boat from Nassau.  No actual address, just Catie on Sojourn.....

Here are my prizes!  So happy to have a few fresh veggies again.

Next up,
we went for a nice long walk with fellow Manta's Charm and Sea Seeker.

At the edge of "Lover's Leap", Kris was trying to convince Dean to "leap"....fortunately she was not successful.

Joe and Tina from Sea Seeker (they didn't leap either!)

Nice getting to know them a bit.

Always keeping an eye out for fashion finds in the floatsam.....Kris is stylin' with this lovely purse.

And Dean's find is the most bizarre of all....

No, just, No.

Fun walk - we ended the blustery day with Jerry and Donna playing several card games on Sojourn.  No one went to the firepit area for the sundown as it's actually chilly here!!!  Down to 80 degrees in the salon!
