The wind was dead calm at sunrise....Two of a Kind behind us.
And New Ambition beside us.
Jerry came over and we discussed a plan to go snorkeling at the south end of the island.
Three dinghies set out - Beat and Antia from Basilea joined us as well.
The water was spectacular - calm and no swell. But the overcast skies were not welcome as it makes it hard to see well underwater.
We stayed out for a couple of hours - no fish or lobster caught although we were looking!!
Back to the boat just in time for a rain shower....good to wash the boat off with fresh water.
In the afternoon I got busy with dinner prep. We'd bought a couple of packages of this plant based beef - this is what they use to make the Impossible burgers at Burger King that we like. I'm going to make spaghetti.
And I wanted some dinner rolls, so I threw together some dough to rise.
No problem rising in the warm cockpit.
Just a normal method to make the sauce. Looks like the real thing!
Meanwhile, the rolls have baked.
Stirring up the "beef".
Looks just like hamburger.
A normal sauce with green peppers and fresh garlic.
All served up - ready for a taste test....
I must admit - the flavor was just a bit meh. The texture was exactly perfect.....I often make spaghetti using TVP (textured vegetable protein) as a meat substitute and this tasted very similar. In the future I think I'll save this expensive"meat" product for grilling a burger as that will add a lot of flavor.
The usual evening with another episode of Vera.
