Busy day!
Started with a nice ripe papaya that I had bought at the grocery store on Crooked Island. I looked at the receipt - $1.16 for the locally grown fruit!
We went ashore in the morning to help disassemble a few things around the cruiser hut to neaten things up a bit. The ever-busy Russ from Spirit had done a good bit of repair to an old grill Maxine had sent over from Duncan Town.
Duane and Jerry took down and repositioned one of the sunshades.
Meanwhile, a group was doing water aerobics to music.
Lovely look at the anchorage.
A couple of hour later, back at the boat. I'd set the breadmaker up so we had fresh baked bread when we returned!
Donna had announced a pot-luck for this evening on the VHF - I made a potato salad. I sliced the olives and placed them around the border since some folks don't like olives.
We did manage a 1.5 mile hike in the afternoon out to the ocean side.
Back to the boat for a shower then back to the hut for the pot luck.
A nice size gathering with several new boats.
We had two grills going as everyone had brought something to grill for themselves.
A nice variety of dishes as usual!
My plate with grilled lobster and a "dab" of everything else!
Looking for sunset - unfortunately the globe went behind a bank of clouds close to the horizon....
A cruiser had brought his guitar and harmonica and played some folk tunes to end the evening. A nice day!
