I was doing some errands in Asheboro a couple of days ago. There is an Aldi there, so I popped in to see what was on sale. They had avocados for $.50 each! And they were nice so I picked up four knowing that I couldn’t eat them all. I had read about vacuum sealing them, so I let them ripen nicely, then dunked them in lemon juice.
And then just did a normal vacuum seal. Into the freezer for later use. I’ll update you on how they turn out.
Have to know if that works, other than cheese for pizza, our freezer is part empty, would love to fill it with avocados
ReplyDeleteWorks like a charm for guacamole etc. unfortunately they do not defrost to the same consistency as fresh. I’ve been doing it on Meshugga a few years.
