Oriental, NC

We needed to mow the vacant lot (it has been a couple of months)....our riding mower has had an engine failure, so we had to use the push mower.   My goodness the grass was a bit high!

But a couple of hours pushing the mower and weed-eating, it looked much better.  Now the neighbors will have a nicer view for the winter. (That's really the only reason we mow this lot - we know both of the neighbors and hate to have the lot look abandoned all the time).

Just a pretty view from the bridge in Oriental coming home from mowing.....

And getting a few things finished before we go for our haul-out on Monday.  The props have barnacles attached because we've been sitting in the slip all summer.  So Duane knocked out the dreaded chore of scraping them off with a putty-knife.  He's glad that's finished!

  1. That looks like a lot of work with a push mower...and bottom scraping just never sounds like fun...

  2. Pushing a mower can really be tiresome some times. Seems like a pretty day for you guys. It is refreshing.
