We started the day with a nice snorkel since the winds had died down temporarily.
Mr. Shark visited again just for a short while. He kept his distance.
Duane speared this very nice lobster!
Just another beautiful day.
And more pretty coral.
Back to the boat, I made quick work of the lobster antennae and legs. (the lobster tail is for creamy lemon lobster pasta tonight!)
All the parts before steaming.
Steamed and ready to cool down.
Cracked out of the shell (using my very specialized tool, haha)
All chopped up.
And vacuum packed for use later in a lobster salad or dip. These bits are particularly tasty and pretty!
With some rather unsettled weather coming, we decided it would be easiest if we moved the 10 miles north to Hog Cay in the afternoon. Uneventful trip that we've made many times...
We anchored away from the crowd of 26 boats.....
In the late afternoon, we carried the bundles of firewood that we had transported in the dinghy - these were toted to the firepit at the cruiser hut for use during the Valentine's party coming up on Saturday. This is very hard and heavy wood which will be great for the cook fire. (Firewood is getting more scarce around the cruiser hut!)
Donna had announced on the VHF that it was time for some music at the cruiser hut and invited anyone with an instrument to join in.
Good fun!
